Default Back Window not clear??

I have a 35% tint on my back window, but I don't think that is the issue. I noticed it also in a RX350.

Does anyone else know that at night, when there are cars behind, you see their headlight, and the going up and down, a little light for each of the defrost lines on the back window. So when you are say, on the highway, and have lots of cars behind you, it just looks like a big soup of lights...and hard to tell what is what?

I think this might be a Lexus flaw, and not restricted to the F?

Anyone?

I don't have that issue, but then again, I don't have tint...

But I know exactly what your talking about, and its one of the reasons why I don't have tint..

I think it exists without the tint, but might be more noticeable with the tint. As I said, I noticed it on a stock RX350, but it wasn't as obvious. I was looking for it.

are you referring to the view from looking straight back at the back window or looking at the back window through the rear view mirror?

It's there with tinted film, and it's there on any car with wires imbedded in the backlight. It's the nature of the beast. Why that is, I don't knowIt must have something to do with the refraction of light

If you look through your rear view mirror at your back window. And it is night. And there is a car behind you. You will see the head light in the spot where it happens to be. AND then, above and below that headlight you will see a thin horizontal light that will match up with your defrost wires. AND as you further above or below the headlight, the size of those horizontal will get smaller.

I know what you are talking about. I have the same problem, I think it's all those defrost lines that causes the light refraction.

It looks like instead of 2 lights from a car behind you, it is like 6 or more lights. The two headlights, and then a little light above and below each headlight.

I also noticed it without the tint. So it might be a Lexus trait?

Are you seeing this looking through your rearview mirror or turning your head?
