I am looking for a reputable window tinting shop here in Austin. When we first moved out here in 2001, I had Mother's Window Tint do work on my SC400. The job was ok, but not what I expected. I was used to the mobile tint installers that I used in the past when we lived out in SoCal where window tinting is a form of art. Who have you all used that you would give them repeat business given the chance?

Hey Jayson, I've used two places in Austin with good luck. First was Sunbusters. More recently was Sunt Tint. With them, it had been five years since the tint, and one front windows on my Prelude was peeling a little bit. I took it back and they re-did the window with no fuss at all.

I got my windows tinted at UV Cooler off Pond Springs by Audi.
I also recommend Sun Tint off Burnet and 2222.

what are the tint laws of texas?? what shades are allowed on the driver and passenger windows?

 

We recommend Sunbusters (North 183) in Lexus of Austin.. Hmmm.. And I went to Sunbusters for my car too personally.. I love how they did it! 5% on the rear and 20% all around.. Thats how low we can go here in Austin or the whole Texas I think..
