Default Door won't open from the outside

hey guys, as the title says, the passenger door on my sc won't open from the outside of the car. i could only open it from the inside which makes it a hassle. also, the window on that door will only go down halfway before it stops. anyone have any suggestions on what to do? i got it fixed before, but i want to try to save some money and see if i could fix this problem myself. any information would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

My suggestion is to search "Door won't open from the outside" as you titled the thread because that is what everyone else titles the thread when their door didn't open from the outside and I remember 4 threads just this year alone

bad news, i got the whole thing put together by myself. the next day, it was working fine until i opened my window and i heard something break. when i checked it out, i found out that the metal rod that the plastic piece connects on to snapped. a brand new part is about 400 dollars. does anyone know where i can find the door latch mechanism for cheap becaues the metal rod itself can't be replaced, the entire door opening mechanism has to be replaced which is a pain.

If you didn't fix your door yet, it is very simple. The same thing happened to my sc 400 and all you have to do is take off the door pannel and there is a small plastic piece that has fallen off the door handle which is knocking against the window and wont let it go down. Clip the piece back and you should be ok. It should take no longer then 20 minutes. It should be a white plastic clip. And if the clip is broken you can just simply zip-tie it together. It works. And it is cheap to do.

hey guys, thanks for the help. it's now fixed. the door lock/latch mechanism thing that i bought from the junkyard had no power locks, so my dad decided to fix the old one by welding the snapped rod back together. now my door is working fine. thanks for the help again!
