Default My drivers side door is stuck! HELP! (broken latch thread)

Like the title says my door is stuck and is super embarassing.LoL i have to climb over from the passenger side to get in my SC and drive. At first people think its RHD then once i climb over its all laughing and pointing from there Haha. The problem first came up when one day unlocked the door and couldnt get in from the outside. The door handle lifts up but nothing happens. So i had to get in from the passenger side, pop the drivers door open fron the inside door handle. Then the inside door handle wont open the door either! So the door doesnt open at all now, from the inside and outside! I tried pulling both door handles at the same time while tackling the door open from the inside. No luck. I was thinking of taking off the door panel to get to the problem but i cant take the panel off with the door closed. I dont want to take it to the bodyshop because i know theyll charge me an arm and a leg(and im broke). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks yaw

NASCAR it lol climb thru the windows cuz racecar lol

I havent read the DIYs on a stuck closed door with both handles broken, but if anything, I broke the door panel off on another car I worked on in the past... Sacrifice in order to open the door and fix the problem.

O.L.T ive searched and searched but apparently no one has had my exact problem on their SC on CL. Both door handles seem to be moving some mechanism within the door from what i can hear. But the door is stuck shut, i cant get to anything. TheAzn Yea i would NASCAR it but because theirs some funky ish goin on in the door, the window only rolls down 2/3rds the way down Hahaha Sukz. I appreciate the write up and link Bro. Dang i really dont want to rip up my door panel because its in pristine condition for being a 1992.

The result is the same, which is pry the inner panel off and work the door latch by hand. There are many threads about techniques used to get into the door panel in those door handle threads. The latch is not opening, not related to a sticking situation.

PS- if it were mine I'd cut a portion out under the door pull where the pocket area is in hopes it could be covered back up at the seams. Once you have removed the seat the whole panel will be at your disposal. Here's a peek inside and you'll notice there is already a hole at the back of the armrest portion. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...el-repair.html
