Default Brake Clearance

Well guys I have been searching and couldn’t get an exact answer, I want to upgrade to TT breaks but I only have about .5in of clearance between my front calipers and the rims and and about 2in from the rotor to the rim, they get tighter as you move toward the edge of the rims.

Can I fit the TT brakes or even the LS ones?

Heres a pic.

I don't know what you mean by rotor to rim but I doubt LS or TT brake would fit.

For Supra TT you need about 45mm of clearance front the rotor hat the spoke of the wheel. Keep in mind Supra TT has 13" rotors so measure at about 6.5" from the center of the rim face.

I don't think you'll be able to even come close to clearing LS brake calipers with 2 inches.

I had 2.5 inches of clearance before upgrading and I barely had enough clearance.

I was in the same boat as you and wasn't sure, but I took the plunge and it worked out fine.

Yeah, those wheel will NEVER fit on Supra brakes. You need a ton of clearance on the outer edge of the factory rotor + 1". If you didn't buy Supra High Disk clearance wheels, you have zero chance of fitting by "luck".

I think they are WELL WORTH IT. In fact, with my 19's on the car, the stock brakes are not all that safe of slowing that unsprung weight at speeds. The Supra brakes are overkill, but cheaper than the next closer alternative.

Get em, get new rims, or supra rims for now.
