I am getting my car painted soon in the future. I want to get the darkest best looking black out there. No metallic or anything just pure black. So what is the darkest one out there?
Another thing....
What emblems should I keep on there?? I was thinking of just keeping the front and rear "L" emblems.
Paint code for Toyota Blac Onyx is 202. What emblem you want to keep is up to you, but personally I think ditching everything but the "L" emblems looks the best
Sorry, but this couldn't be farther from the truth. There aren't many companies who offer a straight, pure black. Any black car on the market today will have a different color than another car of a different make.

IMO, Mercedes does the best black.
Just about every paint manufacturer offers several different blacks. I think what he's looking for is more of a blue-black instead of a brown-black or one of the million others out there. As for Mercedes, the higher end models are finished in Spies-Hecker, the shade that is used is a blue-black and is very dark and deep. I've had a couple of cars refinished with the Spies system, and while it looks great it does take a long time to outgas and cure...it has it's pros and cons. Here's a pic of my old NSX shot in Spies, took months to get it perfect but the new paint helped me score magazine coverage. GL w/ your project laxdude.
My Acura was black too. It came stock in a brown metallic flack black color. It sucked, get a dent or scratch, repaint and it NEVER MATCHED. I hated it. I had the car mineral blasted and repainted BLACK. The guy asked me the SAME QUESTION. WHAT COLOR BLACK?!?! I said BLACK. He said no such thing. He called the paint guy and they sent him PPG/Dupont BLACK. The car was awesome and when ever a door or anything needed paint. You couldn't tell it was painted at different times.
I don't know what brand of paint they they use; I want to say it's factory OEM paint. However, they sell factory colors that can be looked up by paint codes.
