been waiting to get some time to put on these bad boys but i have more than just a coilover install to do. im sitting on 20s (x8 in front x10 in the rear) so im thinking that most of my time will be spent trying to get the ride height, fender roll and pull, just right. right know the wider tread help out majorly but that soft suspension still lacks for handling. let ya know how it goes.
I've had the Tien Basics on my SC and then Tanabe Sustec Pros. Between the 2 the Sustecs were stiffer but that's because it has higher spring rates and solid top mounts. None of them bottomed out and my car dropped pretty low and they both rode good. For daily driving the basics will serve your purpose. I think anything stiffer might bother people.
Has anyone gotten any experiences with the Basic Tein which costs around $700? How does it ride compare to stock or Tanabe springs/Tokico shocks? If you have the experience, please describe it. I'm a little tight on budget for suspension because I'm reserving the $$ for my supercharger setup.
Whaaat? Supercharger set up. You've got the bet single turbo set up on Club Lexus. Why you going SC. Also Is your turbo kit gonna be for sale?
installed the teins friday givin them time to settle. drives like its on rails, very minimal body roll, stiff enough to hold its height and still very daily drivable. still have plenty more to go lower if wanted. im happy with ride handling and quality. My 2 Cents: Im all about cruising and parking lot pimpin not a drifter or racer. if i did drift maybe something with a adjustable dampner, for race a camber kit.
