Question PWR button problem 93 SC4

Hey guys, as some may have read in the Engine/trans section, I just got a 93 SC4, like it so far, but I’m very surprised with a problem im experiancing, never came across it before. The PWR button does nothing, it does not light up anything in the dash, NOR does the actual button light up in the center stack.

Now, do you think the button is defective? or the instrumentation light is out? (Never seen this happen).

However, I did open it up, and made sure the PWR button harness was connected well, so what do you think is the problem? Just a dash light? and how do I find out without tearing up the dash? (I don’t mind if its not too hard).

Thanks

Could very well just be the bulb on the dash. Have you tried to compare differences while driving? Try a few starts from a red light, some with switch on and some with switch off. See where your shift points are and compare. Also try some 40+ accelerations with switch in both positions. You should notice different shift points.

the 40mph roll def. helps in noticing the difference.

shouldnt be too hard to tell, the down shift should come pretty quick with the ECT on. also when ur lets say...... half throttle it should run higher in rpm before shifting to the next gear where normally it may shift at 3-3.2k at mus usually.

You should be able to watch your tach and see the different RPM point that the shift takes place at.
