I had my dash replaced recently at the dealership and now i have this annoying dash rattle. along with that im curious if the ECT power button has a back light ? All other buttons light up except for ECT PWR switch/ snow mode and im wondering if the tech forgot to plug it back.
Mine doesn't have a backlight so maybe it doesn't. I found it strange that my gas lid button also didn't have a light but I found out it doesn't come lit in the earlier years.
I have an 07 IS250 RWD and my ect button has a backlight.
I believe 2007 was the year it started having a backlight but I could be wrong, if so someone please correct me.

If they do need to do repairs, the dash wouldn't have to be taken apart to access the switch. It's pretty simple and shouldn't take too long. They pretty much just pop right out.
So this proves that the ECT/snowmode button should light up green like the rest.
Im not talking about the light on your tach, im talking about the switch itself being illuminated.
thanks again !
i dont think its suppose to light up i have a 06 is350 and that dosent light or the dash light **** either does anyone know the part number for the middle console bulb for P R N D i think mine burned out
It is definitely supposed to light up. There is a bulb in there, and the wiring diagram shows wiring for the illumination, even on 2006. Unless the wiring diagram is lying. My 2011 lit up, and multiple people are saying their 07 does. Maybe pull out the switch, check the bulb (there will be a bulb), and see if there is wiring for it.
As for the P R N... bulb, it is a small #74 bulb, Lexus doesn't list it separately for the 2IS, however I believe part number 90981-11018 should be correct.
