I didn't say that the NX was sub-par only that the RX being one notch up in price is of better quality.
i think back in the days this was true. like in 2002 if you looked at a rx vs a sc430 the sc was much much better in terms of material usage and over quality. The paint was thicker, the seats were more plush and luxurious.
but nowadays I would say the only true difference between models is the interior material choices. The RX has more soft touch pieces then the same year nx. Which in turn has more than the UX.
that’s about it…. And the RX has more wood grain trim pieces (if you like that sort of thing).
Despite my reservations (expressed in recent prior threads about the need for premium gasoline, I'm thinking about ordering a 2023 RX. The more I think about it, the more I might end up ordering the RX350h hybrid. Are dealers now taking orders? The local dealer (Pittsburgh) has a monopoly with two stores. I'm happy to buy elsewhere. I need some "on the ground" suggestions as to where and when to order. I have family in Atlanta so a road trip there might work. Closer to Pittsburgh are 2 dealers in Cleveland and one in Akron. I'm 4 hours from the DC area. I go to Detroit and Indianapolis, too.

I would check the DC & Atlanta areas. Not sure about Indy but Detroit only has 2 Lexus dealerships, both in the outlying suburbs. Once the new RX is out, you may want to just do a nationwide search, see what the larger dealerships are offering.

I think it's best to go to a dealer and see for yourselves as I don't know your standards.
I reported what people in the business say.
Im posting here, on the Lexus forum, for real-world, up to date info. BEFORE I go to any dealer. You’re just staring the obvious vague general info. I’m hoping there are some here with specifics.

Asked my local dealership hypothetically if I could order a '23 RX (bought 3 Rx's from them already). They can take my info but can't yet order as they don't have the data sheets yet. Maybe within the next 6-8 wks.

Daryl why would you buy the first year production ? look at our 4th gen RX. The 2016 ones had the most problem albeit still not completely egregious but still. Personally i think its a lot of money to throw into a brand new platform with a potential to have a lot of bugs popping up. At least give them a year or two to clean it up.

It’s Lexus. How bad can it be? I had a 2016 RX and it was fine. The 2023 will be fine too.
