‘From a dealers stand point I wouldn’t want to help you either. Then they would start to be swamped with complaints about rough and loud rides! Be careful of what you ask for. BMW’s used to use RF on their vehicles and found out people really disliked them for the ride quality and sound level.

Not to mention horrible treadlife.

A couple of my Corvette friends went away from run-flats to traditional tires for just these reasons.

+++++++++++

My advice:

Steer away from potholes if possible.

Be Prepared with a AAA card & Cell Phone.

In my experience, 95% of flat tires happen slowly, due to punctures, not catastrophic blowouts.

So, make sure you know how to view the tire pressure readout on the RX, and look at it occasionally.

Thank you all

my wife NX has them and I'm ok with ride comfort , but she will need a pice of mind for her and me

For a longer trip I may get a jack and and a spare rim/tire , I'm ok with some extra weight from time to time

and that's if I ever get a flat I may look at it

but run flat or self sealing tires is just pice of mind , I know they are not perfect

was just wondering if anyone did it and what did they used

I do not condone this madness, but as you have been warned about the downsides of runflats, I shall say it...if you're really wanting to do this, Discount Tire has a RF Goodyear in 255/50/21 for the low price of $1087 each. That is a larger wider tire and I'm not sure if anybody has tried one on this gen RX yet. It should still be within the acceptable window to fit on stock wheels that are 8" wide, but that isn't a guarantee that it won't rub anywhere.

That’s because most people the second they get a car with run flats they replace them. They are the worst ever.

Default Upgrading Tires on 2023 FSport

Hi Everyone,
I have a 2023 Rx350 F-Sport, lower on RS&R spring and a body kit . I’d like to swap my factory 235/50/21 for wider tires. What would be the best size to choose while trying to keep the ride quality as close as factory as possible I have new rims that are 9” wider. For now choices are 245/45/21 or 265/45/21. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

You have a lot more choices at the 265 width and that size is basically the same diameter as stock. Plus it will give you more buffer for protecting the rim. 245 might feel a little stretched on 9" IMO
