Intermittent wipers stop working
Had rain a week ago or so and switched on the wipers on my 2023 RX350h. Noticed that the intermittent function doesn’t seem to operate after the first two or three wipes. I’ve adjusted the setting on the stalk to minimum and maximum speed for the intermittent setting. Not a huge deal, but I found it necessary to go to the next notch which is the steady, non intermittent slow speed. Any ideas on this? Thanks in advance.
My GS350 rain sensor acting weird after I clean and wax my windshield, I know this but still do it anyway lol.
We are experiencing the same behavior. Sometimes it works sometimes I need to do a manual swipe to clear the windshield because the auto is not keeping up or reacting at all. I have changed the "sensitivity" to both extremes and don't seem to notice a difference. Yesterday, barely a few mist droplets on the windshield and it came on. Not enough data to call this an issue yet. (no wax or any treatment to windshield)

Thanks winpakbob. You describe my same experience, exactly. And….no Eagleboy99, I’ve not applied wax.
Separately, a more perfect, wonderful vehicle I’ve not known. I definitely would’ve like the seat extenders which occur solely on the “Luxury” version. I made a choice: I was unwilling to go with the 21” non Michelin tires. For ultimate smoothness, vibration free: Set the drive mode to “eco” and be sure to reset the A/C in the “Climate” screen off of the high efficiency eco setting. It gets humid quickly. While the “eco” drive mode holds after each start, the A/C defaults to the eco setting. Take note!

Even is automatic mode I still have to bump up the stalk up occasionally in the mist, sometimes things are not perfect.
Still love my 350h, love the technology, love the way it drives and uses half the gas of the previous vehicle.

I'm on our first long trip with our gas RX 350. Drove from Ann Arbor, MI to Cambridge, MA over 2 days, 825 miles mostly in the rain. I'll post some thoughts on the car and various systems once we get home. However, I agree that the intermittent rain sensing windshield wipers really don't really work well. Over the last 2 days I often had to do a manual wipe, no matter where I had the sensitivity set. I'll also be feeding my thoughts to my neighbor, who works for Toyota/Lexus North America. He is one of the managers for the Toyota/Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 and is very interested in my thoughts and experiences.

It makes me wonder how and why some of this passes the smell test when the approvers allow these things to go through.
So, today we had some light rain. Auto sensing did not work at all. Not the first time I have experienced this. So I thought I would start experimenting. This time, I moved the stalk from "auto" to "low" and back to "auto". The rain sensing wipers worked perfectly until I reached my destination (about 20 minutes). So, trying to see if I can establish a pattern or a work around until the software can be fixed. Hoping this procedure works the next time. Worth a shot lol.
UPDATE: Today, light rain no wipers on auto. Switched to "LOW" then back to "AUTO" and the wipers worked perfectly, sensing the rain and adjusting per the intensity for the remainder of my 20 minute trip.
