Wireless Charging Issue
A friend just bought a new Porsche Cayenne and I took him to pick it up. One feature the salesman described was the “always cooled” area where they have the charging pad in that car. I wonder if that is necessary for higher powered wireless charging situations?
Is the wireless charger on RX 350h a joke? I could not get my iPhone 11 charged constantly. It will stop working after a few minutes of charging. I had to pick my phone up and set it back on, but it would fail again. Kind of annoying .. just wonder anyone had the same issue. Thanks for help!
For what it is worth, the wireless charger on my RX350 ICE seems to work fine. Maybe I have not given it the acid test but always use CarPlay and often stream music. My expectation is not necessarily to charge but maintain a charge level.
So far I've had no issues with the charger charging my Galaxy S24. The charger is not designed to continuously charge. It is supposed to turn on and off periodically. Plus if you have a thick case that may cause an issue.
On top of wireless charging being highly inefficient.
We haven’t bought yet but when I test drove an RX350 I put my phone (iPhone 15 Pro Max) in the tray to test the charger. I have always used a heavy Otterbox Defender case on my iPhones.
it began charging immediately and continued to charge throughout the test drive.
Would not have been a deal breaker had it not charged with my case. That’s what cables are for.
You can’t expect Lexus to test their wireless charger against every possible case. Especially like the OP’s metal case.

Lexus and Toyota wireless chargers are both very very weak. I just replaced the one in my Tundra with a NSV dual charger & it works great, even with my otterbox case. Charges fast & thoroughly. Wish they made one for the RX.
