Default Wireless Charging Issue

Is the wireless charger on RX 350h a joke? I could not get my iPhone 11 charged constantly. It will stop working after a few minutes of charging. I had to pick my phone up and set it back on, but it would fail again. Kind of annoying .. just wonder anyone had the same issue. Thanks for help!

I have the same car and an iPhone14. Charges flawlessly. Could be your case. Try it caseless. I have a case designed for wireless charging that they sold me when I got the phone. Truthfully I don’t know exactly what it is, but it has the “circle thingie” that somehow helps enable wireless charging. Not to be “judgie”, but if you can afford a new Lexus, it’s time to move up from iPhone11 anyway. Get a new phone for your new car.

I would seldom use the charging feature but my iPhone 14 ProMax charged constantly on the way to work, this am. All is good.

I do have a very thin case on my phone.

Neither of us have a problem in our 2023 NX. We both have silicone cases and the phone once placed down does not move and always stays charging.

I have an Android with leather case. RX charges better and faster than my Mustang Mach E and does not get as hot.

Thanks for all your responses, folks! I will try without the case (it’s a rugged spigen case with an aluminum shell). I thought it should work as my wireless charger at home charges flawlessly even with the case.

My wireless charge also works flawlessly. One important issue could be if you have a MagSafe case. Make sure you have that or you could have issues. My original case did not work with wireless charging at home but when I got a MagSafe case it always works now.

‘The “aluminum shell” is likely the problem. Just because it works on one charger, may not on all.

Default It charges!

I tested multiple times today without the case. It worked with no issues. The aluminum shell seemed to be the root cause. Anyway, there is no perfect product. Maybe this is something Lexus can improve on in future updates.

My case is leather, and although it is recognized and does charge, it charges really slowly.

No problem charging iPhone 12 in clear case. Most car wireless chargers don't charge very fast. Faster charging thru USB-C cable probably.

Default Wireless Charger

iPhone 14 with Magsafe case. I set it on the pad and it shows on the screen it's being charged. The phone initially shows it's being charged, then flickers a few times and eventually shows it's not being charged but still shows up on the infotainment screen as being charged. Same thing when the case is removed. Went on a three-hour road trip, and it didn't charge at all.

Suggestions?

Plug it in with a cord to charge.

…or ditch the case. Makes me wonder what wattage Lexus is using, I’m thinking it might be 7.5 watts instead of the newer mag compatible 15 watts.

I have an iPhone 14 with apple MagSafe case and it charges slowly. I slide the case all the way forward. I notice when I put the phone on the charger there is a clicking sound like something is trying to align.
