When I plug my iPhone into the correct USB port, turn on google maps, it will not project the map onto the large screen. Anyone has this problem or solution?
Press "menu" on the center console near the remote control pad and then
highlight the "projection" icon near the middle of the lower task bar. First time
connection takes a couple steps but once configured it will automatically hookup
by just plugging in the Lightning cord. Open the RX's menu and settings, Projection
settings, ACP "On". In your phone Settings under General check for the RX to be
listed under My Cars.
What year RX do you have? Are you using an official Apple cable or a certified Apple cable? Rebooted the phone?
2022. Yes it's original cable from Apple.

Thank you for the tip. However, the carplay had worked before, now it is not projecting anymore.
First check your iphone carplay setting (general > carplay) make you see your car there. Last, try turn on your phone and plugin cable. Accept/allow if any popup.
Calls seem to come in just as you are approaching a vital exit or turn don't they?
Repress center console "Menu" and repress on screen "ACP" to restore the map during the call.
I have some of questions as my carplay works flawlessly on a 2020.
1) Please provide your definition what the correct port is. (You never know)
2) When is the last time you power cycled your phone? The issue may be related to that.
3) I saw that you said that you are using the apple cable. Have you proven that it works and has not broken?

So, I have googled this and I am not the only one. It has to do with Apple's software iOS 15. No one has the fix yet.
