Last thing I can think of is find another iPhone, one as similar in spec to yours be it a friends or family members and pair it to the car and try a test text. This should help decipher if the issue is with the your phone, or something your local dealer should look into.

text messages will not display when the vehicle is in motion, but the nav voice will still read the message to you. when you stop the messages will be displayed again. my gs works exactly the same way.

When I bought the car the sales rep paired it and everything worked fine. I took it in for a nav update and had to repair it myself and now text doesn't work. Anyone else with the same issue?

I tried it both ways when the car was stopped and when it was moving . The dealer told me it had to be moving and the screen on my phone had to be off , so tried it and got nothing still . Does anyone have a video they can post to show how it works using an iphone 5 ?
