Speed display on RX?
Having finally had a chance to drive my wife's RX450h, I am starting to see a couple of questions that I would rather place on the forum, rather than wait for my next 'Training Session' with Lexus. They are good, but forum members are usually better.
Is there anyway to display a digital actual speed on either the center driver's display or on the GPS map? I became accostimed to a digital readout on her Cadillac EXT5. Nice to have when you pass a cop (Not that I would ever speed.....
I will have more questions as she allows me to drive the car I wrote the check for......

Also unfortunately, Google Maps does not display vehicle speed when using Android Auto. Waze and Tomtom AmiGO do, if you are interested. I find them inferior to Maps, though.
I too wish it was a feature on the base model. I have had HUD in all of my vehicles for several years. It really annoys me when I drive my wife’s vehicles. Some people seem to forget that most cars today only have numbers in 20 MPH increments on Analog dials which makes it harder to read with a quick glance.
BTW, because of how Lexus equips cars for dealer inventory, it would have cost me $7,000 to get HUD.

No digital speedometer on the base model. If you use Android Auto or CarPlay, some nav apps show a digital speedometer overlayed on the map, along with current speed limit. Waze does, I think. My preferred app, Google Maps, does not; it only shows the speed limit, not the current speed.

I wish Waze make that Digital Speedometer a bit bigger or make it able to move around instead of having it on the right side top corner of the screen because its good for right hand steering wheels but not left hand steering wheel . You simply can't see the meter from the left.
