Most auto supply places have a catalog that lists cars and what parts fit them. If your Rain-X blades are in the catalog for your car, they may have come with a plastic adaptor that should fit the blades to your car. If not, bring them back and see what they say.
I haven't changed mine yet, so don't know what they look like.

Same with the Tricos - they came with three plastic adapters and instructions on how to figure out which ones you need.

I pay about $30 shipped for all three Lexus blade rubber refills (fronts and back) and they work great. The rest of the wiper blade system seems not to wear at all and keeps consistent pressure on all areas of the windshield. So in that sense I don't feel like I am "stuck" with anything but a great windshield wiper!

Default Rear Wiper Blade

Does anyone know where to buy a replacement rear wiper blade? I bought one on Amazon (Michelin 9516) but it was too tall. The wiper kept hitting the top spoiler. Thanks!

Most auto supply stores have a catalog in the wiper aisle. Just match up your year/make/model and if they have it on the shelf, you'll be good to go. If not, ask the clerk.

Default Uneven Wiper wear / Wiper Replacement

So i am aware that Windscreen wiper blades eventually wear off. I have a 2017 RX350 a few months older than 2 years old. Wipers were replaced at 15K (didn't realize that until after the service, i guess it was part of the package at that dealership).

Now I am seeing streaks and blotches on the driver side of the windscreen when it rains, but the passenger side is squeaky clean.

My questions are

1. Is this uneven wiper wear a thing with RX350? I do recall the driver side wiper making odd squeaks while in operation, this stopped a few months back.
2. For replacement wiper blades, which brand to use? I have seen original Lexus wiper blades but they are made of rubber. I live in midwest where temperatures range from -20 F to 90 F. Will silicone wiper blades be more durable? Has any one used silicone wiper blades? Any recommendations for a brand name for wiper blades?

Thanks

I find Trico blades are good quality and typically use them. They make a winter blade as well.

Just a thought, but I have found that the polish stuff they spray on the car at the car wash, builds up a layer on the windshield which can lead to poor wiper performance. I periodically use a glass cleaner/stripper to remove the polish accumulation.

You are correct about the gunk buildup! Grab a rubbing alcohol bottle & a rag or towel & clean the wiper rubber & the window. That gunk builds up on the wipers also.

I believe Rain-X makes some silicone wiper blades to fit the RX, but you might have to order them to get the correct connectors. In my area, Advance Auto Parts carry them.

OEM rubber inserts are cheap enough (online $25 for a front pair with shipping included or at the dealer for $12.95/piece) and in my experience work longer.

I buy mine online at lexuspartsnow:
- Right, Part 85213-0e011 - https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/...213-0e011.html
- Left, Part 85223-0e011 - https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/...223-0e011.html
