looking online it looks like one option is to buy OEM inserts and replace just the inserts

what is the recommended replacement method? Should I have purchased I different type of blade?

I just do the OEM inserts. Super easy and cost is much less than the full blade replacement. OEM fits the curve of the glass perfectly. I only do maybe every couple of years

Viktor did a video with part numbers and full procedure.

Default Wiper blade replacement 2019 Base

I read the manual and checked on Youtube but my car doesn't seem to operate the same??
When the wipers are turned off they retract unter the hood. I can't get the wipers to stay stopped in the middle of the windscreen. The instructions say to turn the engine off, then in the accessory position lift the wiper lever up for 2+ seconds and they should stop in the middle of the windscreen. This doesn't work.
Any ideas?
Thx, Rainor

Thx Rare bird but I already tried that and the Lexus is "smart" enough to return the Wipers to their home position even after the engine is stopped.

I've never had to do that, but I'm surprised the wiper motor would still have power to it with the ignition off.

Several things are still powered after you shut off the car until you open the door.

I thought you did when you said you read the manual. But glad it all worked out!

You're right that is what I said. What my wife really said was "Read the instructions CAREFULLY". The devil is in the details! 😞 Another post to add to the dumbest question of the year!!

Default Rear Wiper Replacement RX350

Got the 3 blade wiper replacement kit. I can't figure out how to change the rear wiper. Book says, "Take to Dealer" , is that the only way?

There are numerous videos on YouTube which shows this process for front and rear wipers. No need for a dealer visit. Here's just one video. At the 2 minute 20 second time Viktor shows you how to access the rear wiper.
