Default Power Back Door Switch Operation

Was anybody able to set this to "One Short Press"? It's the "Gate open" button that is on the instrumental panel by the gauge cluster.
I go to P.130, and there's no instruction to change. I tried to find it in the screen, but failed.

The legend for the chart shows that column 1 are those functions that
we can change and column 2 are done by the Dealer with a Techtool.

You found the steering wheel button and Driver Information Center "DIC"
settings for rear door opening height? Column 1 item.

The aftermarket customizing tool Carista should do it but unless you are
doing many changes to many Lexi all the time it likely would not be worth
the investment in phone software, connecting hardware and a subscription.

Ah! That's what that was.
I guess I have to check that box they gave me for the first service visit.
Thanks!

I have a cheapo wireless OBD2 reader. I will also look into that.

I changed it with Carista. It was nice, but I found myself inadvertently hitting one time. I was exiting the car with carrying several things and opened the hatch with the garage door closed. Ouch, added a scratch to the hatch! So I went back to having it with the long press.

Hmmm
It never happened with the Lincoln MKX and I had it for 6 years.
Ya, the 1 sec push is safer for sure.

Can they change the 10 light flashes before turning the car on by the remote starter? and the engine shutting off when opening the door?
So disappointed with the OEM remote starter. Very short range without the extra fob.
Yesterday, by the time the engine turned on, I was in front of the door.

I wish there was a setting to speed up the hatch opening and closing. I can push the button, get in the car, start it, and the hatch hasn’t finished closing.

Yes, pretty slow! It always drives me nuts. I have been tempted to just converted it back to manual opening. The other day, opened from inside, turned off the car, got out, opened the rear door to take out my coat, put the coat on, close the door, and went to the hatch, and it was still opening...

I tried the manual opening. You need to use A LOT of force to open and close.
Once you tried, you'd never want to do it again lol

Yes, the first few months, I kept trying to pull the door down to close it. It is hard...

I might just replace the lift motors with standard lift supports to get over the hassle of trying to open the door with the touchless logo and waiting the minute to close the door.
