Looking for a solution for the abysmal lighting in the trunk area. I think I found a solution since there is no replacement 3rd party lens housing on the market.
The connector is a narrow pin and different than the courtesy door light. Very similar to the Toyota Crown trunk light housing.

I found that iJDM toys sells the whole entire housing for the trunk light. It is alot brighter than stock and are sold individually.

I have a 2019, but it's on the left side of the cargo area.

 

Thanks, I found the lighting difference to be an improvement in the trunk/cargo area. I've attached before and after photos:

 

Mines already LED from factory but it's Dim. Are these plug and play for LED from factory too or only ones that are halogen?

 

Mine is on the left side. Can't miss it.

 

The early 4th generation RX models (2016-2022), came with incandescent lighting on the sides of the cargo area. These were easy to upgrade by just replacing the incandescent bulb with a LED bulb. But on the later models they switched to LED lighting, mine is a 2021. If you wish to brighten the lighting, you must replace the entire unit which has more light emitting diodes in the assembly. It's not terribly hard to do. Here's the link that sells what I used:

They are plug and play correct?

 

These cargo lights fit the opening perfectly. However, the light comes with two adapter wires which enables you to make the connection between the light and the cars existing plug. I remember switching the wire connections on one light since there must have been a polarity issue. These have been working fine for over two years.
