Default LED reverse lights

Hi. Just bought a new 2016 LX570 and discovered the only exterior lights not led are the reverse bulbs. Bought and installed led reverse bulbs and they don't work. Bought the same ones I installed in my wife's Lexus. Anyone have luck finding led reverse light bulbs that work in these new LXs?

Ijdmtoy makes (or actually, markets) quality bulbs, use their high output 194 on the running board lights, these might work:

I expect a night pic if you put these in because I am curious how they perform.

Thanks, I installed these, similar to the ones you're showing and they did not work.

a lot of LED bulbs are polarity sensitive. maybe try taking the bulb out and switching polarity.

IMO, and based on personal experience ijdmtoy is a royal PITA to work with. I ordered LED foglight bulbs for my '13 Land Cruiser. I was sent the wrong bulbs. ijdmtoy's return procedure requires you to get a return authorization from their "RMA Department". The RMA department is actually one person, who, in my case, took 3 business days to respond to my request. Initial response was to fill out their RMA form, and submit it for approval to the manager...same person.

Instead, I shipped the parts back, noted my BS experience with AMAZON, and called my cc company who had a chargeback for me in 5 minutes.

The company is a joke.

I agree that RMA is an outdated and bad way of doing business. I always buy off Amazon when possible, no RMA, no hassle.

The 7.5 194s are BRIGHT and I've also used their 7440 LED turn signals.

And for the LED fogs you might consider the Opt7 - costs 100 bucks (expensive for LED kits) but they put out the rated 3500 lumens each.

Thanks. All the exterior lights including fog lights came standard with factory LED lights. Just the reverse lights are non LED. Thx

Chocolate, I cannot explain why I typed "netflix" instead of Amazon...post corrected.

I ended up finding the correct base bulbs...finally. Issue is I wanted ~ 3500K bulbs v. a higher Kelvin
temp since I actually drive in dense fog. White fogs are useless, ghetto-blue bulbs are simply stupid.

90W PIAA bulbs do a wonderful job.

Well some of them are, but mine are as bright as the headlights.

The issue with fog lights is not their brightness, but the ability to be seen through daytime snow white-out conditions and daytime dense fog. Fog lights (including rear fog lights) make you more visible to other drivers and really don't do that much to improve road visibility during day for the driver. At night, they slightly improve visibility for the driver, and are indifferent vs yellow to other drivers. Yellow makes them functional at day, white does not.

I can say with comfort that 9/10 drivers have them on when they should not be, thinking they are gaining visibility when they are not.

We don't have much snow or fog here, a few days a year. I use mine as auxiliary headlights in fully dark conditions, and they light up an area far beyond the projector headlights, in both distance and width. I don't use them in rain or snow as visibility is adequate in a large truck with Xenon lamps and LED DRLs.
