4RX Mileage Thread
Just picked up my 2021 RX 450h a week ago. Haven't refilled the tank yet, but the onboard computer says I'm getting a little over 30 in mostly city driving. We use ECO mode on both cars.
The 450 will be used for short trips on city streets as the MPG is much higher.
Cheers!
I'm guessing he is fine with the feeling and others must as well or it likely would not be an option! Not surprising though. You are the one that tried to tell me I didn't understand how the rain sensor wipers worked even though I've driven Toyota's for over 20 years!

Keep on driving a Toyota for another 20 years and wallow in your ignorance.
Mines fine where I live, slow paced, flat.....she's as smooth as silk. But I use Sport Mode in the big city where it's go, go, go.......

I've only bought used cars before. I was open with them about this being my first lease and I ended up being there on a Sunday night after looking for a car for about 30 days.
I'm driving a new RX 350 AWD and getting HORRENDOUS gas mileage, just like your ES.
My previous Lexus was a 2017 ES 350h and I got 40 mpg city quite easily. I'm getting like
10mpg city in my 2020 RX 350 AWD and can barely get around 17 mpg Highway if I REALLY
GO EASY. Pretty upset with this as I'm getting roughly HALF of the estimated EPA MPG.
I knew the mpg would be bad for the RX, but it should be close to what they say it will get!
I'd be buying HALF the gas I'm buying now!
MPG TIPS:
And for everyone, HOW you drive makes a huge difference. The main thing is starting off from a stop gently,
and don't use the gas pedal to fly up to red lights. Coast a bit if it's not blocking someone behind you. Idling
absolutely destroys your MPG, and that's precisely why Hybrids are SO great in the city. Instead of idling
the gas engine, that's when they switch to battery power, saving you tons of gas. If you accelerate gently
stops in your hybrid, it will take off on electric power at first, also saving you a lot of gas overall.
I drive in Normal mode at usually drive casually. Not too many hard starts and glide to stops. I don't hold up traffic and usually drive faster than 60% of other motorists. Lots of stop and go driving and when I am on the highway it's only for about 10 Kms.
On the Highway I get around 27 MPG. Went to Toronto a week ago and averaged 26.5. Almost all at 115-120 Kph...not too much wind either direction.
I thought with the 8 speed it would be better...24 city 30 highway. The old 3RX always got over 30 on the highway.
I still do MPG as I have for 40 years. Kilometers per litre or litres per 100 kilometers is greek to me!
All gasoline grades at these locations must be treated with an approved detergent at the correct concentration. These are very high standards established by the TOP TIER Program.
All is not lost if you have been buying cheap gas. Get some Chevron "Techron" Complete Fuel System Cleaner from Walmart and put that in your tank every 6000 miles or 6 months.
Always use the recommended octane rating of the manufacturer.
Getting about 16 mpg here in the city.
