Default Touch lock feature

Hi, pretty sure I already know the answer to this but is there a setting to where you can lock the doors via remote or touch if all the doors are not closed?
My wife's cayenne has this and its great, I can get out and touch the door handle and it will lock the doors once everyone is our and doors are closed. I'm usually first to get out and it annoying to have to wait until everyone's our and doors closed before i can lock the car.

Gee, I don't know, every car I've had doesn't lock doors that are not closed.

it doesn't lock any doors until theyre all closed but it just senses that you touched the handled and will lock once all doors are closed. will do the same if you use the remote.

Wow I did not know this! I've been waiting for all doors to close!

EDIT - nope it doesn't work like that.

I don’t know if it can be done for all doors but my 2019 RX350 does it for the trunk door. If you press the button on the trunk door 2x when open, it will close and lock the trunk door.

If all of the doors are actually open, just hit the lock button on the drivers door arm rest, then close your door.

A minor inconvenience but completely understand why a person would want the doors to auto-lock after the last person exits and closes their door. Drivers are usually to first to egress while children usually come dead last! I guess single RX drivers wouldn't have any need for this function! Then again, why would any person who's single need an RX?

If I get out first and others get out after me, I just hit the lock button on the fob when they're all out. Not a biggie!

Nope. It is not possible to lock without closing the door.

Unless you modify the door switch.

Never thought to use the door switch on the way out. I'll try that next time.
I believe hitting the trunk button will do what i need but 99% of the time I'm not in the trunk.
I'm not single but why wouldn't a single person have an RX? its a great SUV.

You must be brand loyal because Toyota is the only brand I've encountered that has this **** poor programming. All my other cars, I press lock when everybody has the door open and the car confirms locked after the last door closes. Is it a live saver? No... But does it cost Toyota anything to have some decent programming? Also no...

Exactly, you don't know how nice this feature is until you use it then realize YOUR car doesn't have it.
