I agree that the $200+ charge for the NAV update seems high, especially with the competition from portable untis and smart phones where you get get updates at a fraction of the cost, or free.

I believe Lexus lowered the cost of the flash drive used for the update from $199 to $169, plus about 1 hour of labor.

One suggestion is to check on your dealers web site for "Service Specials". The ones around here usually offer 10%-20% discounts or coupons. Would save a few bucks.

My local Lexus dealer here in CT has a coupon for the update here. Not sure I will get it though.

Check on Ebay. There are some Gen 5 DVD version 11.1 for short money. Have bought in the past and saved major $$$.
