Before you embark on the sensor replacement, please trace the problem. You may be low on transfluid, or the radiator has leaves or other things blocking the air flow. Another problem can be due to stall speed not working, and that leads over working the torque convertor which results in elevated fluid temp.

So please trace to the source of the problem.

This is the RX300 forum. There were know issues with the transmission in this model that we are all familiar with. Yours is a different model with a different transmission, so you might want to post in that forum to see if any common problems have been observed.

Check the trans fluid level......Really best to change the trans fluid & filter, sounds like you overheated the trans fluid. A gallon of Valvoline Maxlife trans fluid & a Wix trans filter.....

Hi friend did you figure it out?

What color is the fluid?
Does it smell burnt?
Are you pulling a trailer or boat or going up a steep mountain or anythig overly strenuous when this happened?
Also, do you have trans fluid cooler?
Details please.....
