Default 2008 Rx-350 New Remote Programming

I lost my entire set of keys and bought a kit on eBay that included cut key with factory key fob, ECU reader to program key to car plus remote instructions. I have followed the open and close door instructions to the letter and cannot get the car in program mode to program remote buttons. I've also tried lock, unlock steps many have posted here. No luck. NOTHING WORKS!!! Please help.

Here is a thread for you to read, especially post # 9. Check your new key(s) for the FCC ID. It must be HYQ12BBT as stated in the article. Hope it helps.

Thank you very much! I'm afraid that may be my issue. The eBay seller is apparently reputable but it may not be sending the right signal. Mine says: 12BBY-08. Not T.

My wife 2004 RX330 remote is 12BBY-08 and I use Techstream to program both the transponder and the key FOB. I purchased the keys precut from 1010keys on eBay using the keycode.

Thank you! So that I understand, you were not able to program the remote function with the printed instructions 1010 keys sent you? That seller is very nasty by the way. Not friendly or helpful at all.

I purchased a set of keys from Keys1010 for 2004 Rx330. You will need a OBDII device (like Techstream) to plug in and enable key programming. Key1010 charges $20 for theres as a add on, they call it the PDevice (Programing Device). I bought the PDevice from them and it worked fine. My local Ace Hardware has one, but you apparently you have to buy one of there keys, that are over a hundred.

The folding key I got from Key1010 was junk, the Denso key works great...

Didn't even try to use 1010 printed instructions since I already have a copy of Techstream and know how to use it. I didn't have any problems with the seller. The keys arrived within a week and both worked without any problem.

I really appreciate your reply. I bought their add-on device as well and was thrilled to be able to program key to start the vehicle. However, the instructions for remote programming were so horribly written and 1010 keys were beyond arrogant. I just went to a key shop today and they programmed remote for $35 bucks which wasn't bad. Durso unit. Only thing is, they couldn't get power lift gate button working. Really made me mad. Saved serious money though and have 98% solution. Did you get power lift gate button to work? Thanks!

Yes my rear hatch works with the remote. All doors need to be unlock in order to have the power hatch to work. My setup as follow first unlock press on the remote open only the driver side door. Second press of the remote open the remaining doors afterward the rear hatch can be open by remote. You need to hold the hatch button until it start to open and immediately release the button.

One more question. When you talk about your steps, are you talking about programming steps to get the hatch to work? I guess I'm not clear on that. Thanks again!

After telling my wife I didn't think her hatch button worked she informed me, "You need all doors unlocked"... and I programed the key LOL..

If the key fob is already programmed to open the door then there is no further programming needed. You just have to use the key fob.

1. Press key fob to open the driver side door
2. Press key fob to open the rest of the doors. All doors need to be open before the hatch will open.
3. Press key fob to open the hatch and keep pressing until the hatch starts to open and then immediately release the button.

Well, my key shop programmed this new remote but it doesn't respond in the same way as the factory. For example, I was able, with the original, to open the back lift gate only while all other doors remained locked. Also, when I hit lock button, all doors lock but I notice I have to hit lock again for headlights to go out. Original remote only requires one click for that. It's not perfect but may have to live with it. Will try your suggestion. Thank you for your communication!
