gas mileage
Realistically; what should i be getting for mileage (city/hwy) on average on a 2007 rx350? Right now it seems like im not even getting 25mpg hwy and i thought thats about what i should be getting using the reccommended premium fuel which i have in my tank right now. Thanks.

how are you getting such good mileage? Where are your tire pressures, etc set at? Im also wondering if i should check and possibly replace the air filter? On the other hand; I just had service done a couple weeks ago and they didnt say that the air filter needed replacing(if in fact they checked it that is which im not positive on). Cause right now Im not even getting 21 in mostly city driving.

I can barely get 18-19 city and 20-22 highway on my 330, can't imagine a 350. I'm also on new plugs, tires, filters, fluids, etc and that has not helped much from when I got the car used a few months back. Should have went with a 400H but I'm not sold on hybrids just yet.
My family has the new 14 Highlander with practically the same engine as the 350, and that gets closer to 23-24 city and 27-28 highway due to eco-mode and power distribution.

The 350 engine was developed to make better hp and mpg than the prior gen, but you have to baby it. I have an 07 and if I keep at around 70 with cruise, longer highway drives I average about 24.2. I've tried to extremely baby it and I have seen 26mpg overall for a long trip. Most times though I average around 19 wherever I drive as I like to launch on ramps, pass tourists, etc.

rx330, 05. 178k miles. I pretty commute 90% freeway and usually mash the gas pedal and go 90 as traffic allows. I get 280 miles when the gas light goes on. so 18 to 20 mpg, 89 octane.
My wheels are 17s and 15 lbs lighter per corner than the oem 18s. plus I ditched the spare for a patch kit and air compressor, so -120lbs. just a K&N air filter. no other mods.

I'm averaging around 17 with my '05 330 AWD with 135k on it. I've seen mid 20s, but that was with an average speed of around 60 MPH and just me and one other passenger. I'm hoping that improves with summer blend gas. I typically run 93 (never under 91) octane 10% corn liquor gas, as that's the only thing I can find around my area.

20.5 on combined highway/light city driving in a 2005 RX 330 with 160k miles
Changing the trans fluid, transfer case oil, and rear differential oil added 10-20% back. Before that, I was averaging around 17-19.

Yeah, they do pull hard. It's the wife's ride, but I certainly don't mind driving it. Ive read a few things from when they first rolled out the 2gr where Toyota touted it's fuel economy improvements, but you're right, it's nominal. Thats what the 400h is for.
