Just wondering if anyone is still using their cassette deck since it seems cassettes are making a comeback as are LPs (vinyl) now both formats for music listening are once again considered to be cool.
I am interested in purchasing some cassettes, plenty of great music & deals. I would like to know if anyone has had any issues with cassettes which contain more tape than your standard cassette or I
believe they would be equivalent to a Double LP. Nothing is mentioned in the Lexus Owners Manual. I'm asking since I recall a 8 Track Player in one of first vehicles ate my favorite 8 Track Cassettes (Double LPs)
for lunch several times. I don't remember having issues with cassettes decks in vehicles in the past but cassette decks are not created equal & I wouldn't want to mess this one up & have to open it up to untangle
tape.

Cassette Deck for Bluetooth? Interesting concept, I assume there some sort of adapter to accomplish the mission.
Am I the only one who will actually use the cassette deck to play cassettes?

LOL yes, I don't think I've touch a cassette in easily 15 years. But there are AUX to fake cassette adapter you can use to link directly to your phone/music device or a bluetooth module.

I recall using such a cassette adapter when Stereos with CD Players just came out & cost more than the car I was driving at the time.
Hooked it up to a Sony Walkman CD Player which was my girlfriend's, many negative points:
The batteries of the Walkman would drain quickly.
My girlfriend would want the Walkman back at the most unexpected times.
I dropped it several times in water until it died & I had to replace it.
The moral of the story: I went back to playing cassettes.
With that experience it will be difficult to convince me to place anything in the Cassette Player other than a cassette tape.

Yep... check out my post describing how I did it... and cheaply.
If Bluetooth is a priority, definitely a great inexpensive concept. The cassette adapter sure brings back some not so fond memories.
What do you have wedged in the tray of the CD Player? I suppose you do not plan to play any CDs anytime soon.

That's a magnetic phone holder. I didn't want anything sticking to the dash, since I have to contact a dealer at some point about having it replaced for cracks. I never play CDs anymore, not with a near unlimited supply of music available on Apple Music.
