Stereo system replacement
Hello,
I have searched this forum several times and found various threads, but they all seem to get over my head.
I am just looking for a simple fix because my stereo system has stopped working. Actually, the radio still works, but the CD changer and the tape player have stopped working. I could live without those, but I've always wanted to have a way to plug my iPhone up to play it through my speakers. I have tried a couple of adapters including one that runs through a radio station (but it was so staticky that it was hardly worth listening to) as well as one that runs through the tape player. Obviously, now the one that runs to the tape player is not an option.
What is the simplest and cheapest fix if I wanted to have either auxiliary and/or Bluetooth capability? I don't really want to spend more than $100 and it must be something that I can install myself or have installed inexpensively.
Are there any options and is this a possibility??

Well, I'm pretty sure you're going to have to spend more than a hundred bucks. Go to www.crutchfield.com and enter your vehicle and which sound system you have. The site will direct you to what fits and what dash kit you will need to install. It will also tell you what wiring harness you will need to plug and play. You will need to spend even more if you want the steering wheel controls to work.
You can probably get into something decent for under $300 but to get in under $100 is asking an awful lot.

You could add a USB input to your factory radio for ~$105 but since your radio is already failing there is a chance they won't work.

i went with recommendation from another member; Satechi; Soundfly AUX MP3 Player Car Fm Transmitter. $35 took care of everything I needed. using mini usb 32GB flash drive and ability to navigate folders by artists, i can quickly find my music like I can with my other vehicles with oem setup. include remote which I can use to navigate without taking my sight away from driving.
