Default Grills

I was after some pictures of Lexus RX330/350/400h's that have had the grills modified. I know one of the popular mods is to get replace the factory grill with the thundercloud grill. I have also seen other grills that can be bought to replace the RX. However I have seen maybe 1 or 2 pictures where the factory grill has been modified as well.

So any pictures of modified grills on an RX would be great.

I like the look of Carver's grill, FWIW.

The TC grille has been discontinued. The Hybrid grille is an option.

Or else get the 2009 Grille (2010 is the body shape change). It looks different and sized different. But will fit all RX from 2004 to 2008. How much are they at Sewell...$210 at our discount. They are stouter on the vertical grilles and the corners extend further out.

I have seen some grill changes etc. but wondering if anyone has done any modifications to the existing grill. For example, this RX in Japan. The original grill has been painted the same colour as the rest of the car and I think it looks quite nice. Anyone ever seen a silver one done this way?

Okay obviously no-one has done anything to the standard grill. I decided to edit the above picture and turn it silver to see what it might look like on my car. I think I like it and will do it

The grille you see is a 2009 Grille. Great idea, paint the same as the body color and you will be unique, have not seen one done.

Mandyfig, I don't believe that I have missed the grill differences on the non-hybrids (must be getting old)

The 08 (or 09 to the US) grill should fit into an 05 RX330 shouldn't it? Only reason for the question, is that looking at the earlier grill, you can see the curve around the middle hump of the bonnet, and in the newer 08/09 grill you can't (but this might just be the way the picture looks). Also noticed that the earlier grill has a slit down the middle whereas the 08/09 doesn't.

If it fits then (1) I am going to buy me that grill and (2) going to do the same colour grill and pop it on the car.

For those that might not be aware, here is a comparison picture

03 - 07 RX330/350 grill. Notice the slats in the grill have an indent. Also there are 7 vertical slats from either side to just on the edge of the circle part of Lexus "L" logo. Also notice how thin the chrome is surrounding the grill.

08-09 RX350 grill. Notice that there is no indent in the slats and there are only 6 slats from either side to just on the edge of the circle part of the Lexus "L" logo. Also notice the sharper finish of the grill at the corners (particularly at the top) and how much thicker it is.
