Gentlemen, and Ladies,
I was on my way home last night, and I always have my window cracked open (get sick of fumes coming in from outside) Anyway it was getting a little cold so I tried to put up the window. Well on the 1st click (not the auto position) it does nothing. It goes down with out using the auto position, but only goes up if I hit the auto part of the switch. Do you guy`s think its the switch? BTW, dont you love the way things work one minute, and dont the next? What do you all think? and how hard is it to replace? Heck, maybe I can just swap the switch with the passenger one? At least until I get back down to my dealer. How do I pop up that panel?
Thanks,
Ryan

its easy to replace, but the cost of the switch assembly is $600plus, but here is one on fleabay

If it were me I would take it apart and see if the contacts could be cleaned...might take a jewelers technique and taking it apart.....

Thanks Thomas, But I did some research and here is what I found..........
As per CK6Speed...
Roll the window down all the way and hold the button down for a second. Roll the window up all the way and hold the button up for a second. Done.
Did this and now it works!! (YES) But why did I need to do this? Did it (forget) how to function? And my battery is only 2 years old?....Unless its telling me that it`s going to go bad?...... Bizarre
This board is the best! Saved me some money again!

Weird. Even when the battery is disconnected, it's the other way around - the auto up/down doesn't work until you re-initialize the switches, but the manual up down does.

Its definitely weird rcy. Why would it all of the sudden need to be re-learned? I am glad thats all it was though, eh...so far anyway.Originally Posted by rcy

No, I don't play soccer!
Check to see if your moonroof auto closes. If it doesn't, it might be the battery.
Thanks Anita, I thought of that and it`s good. The first thing that came to my mind yesterday was "maybe I need to re set it" The only thing I didnt do right was hold for one second. Now.....so far, its working.
Here again, why this happened I dont know.

And I`ll throw it on a charge for a while too. It`s a Diehard Gold battery, so it should be good after only two years. I dont even keep my headlamps set to auto because I dont want them coming on every time i leave the garage. And staying on for two minutes after shutting off vehicle etc.
