Default Broken window switch?

Hello Lexus Fans

The window button for the driver side window will not bring the window up or down automatically. I have to hold the button down manually (like I would do if I was in the back seats) The passenger switch next to it is working ok. Could it be the switch itself going bad or something expensive in the window motor Thanks in advance!

I had the same problem on mine. It dosent have auto up, but auto down didnt work. The switch itself was no good.

Thanks for reply. Would it be an easy DIY to take it out and replace it? Junk yard a good place to find a piece or any recommendations? Thanks!

Same with my driver's master window control switch. The passenger down switch will not work, but will go up VERY slowly.
This is because of corroded contacts...and its almost impossible to fix.
Its very easy to do a diy replacement.
All you have to do is take off the door panel, and unscrew the switch from the back side and replace.

It's a very easy DIY to replace the window switch. You just need to remove the door panel and the switch will pop right out. It's just held by a couple of locking tabs. As for a replacement switch, you might want to contact captainhowdy313@yahoo.com He's a CL member and he sold me the used replacement switch for my passenger side window. It works great. Tell him Lexucan sent you.
