COOL STUFF. BETTER THAN BUYING FROM SEWELL LEXUS WHO IS SUCH A RIPOFF!!! THEY CHARGE $193.20 + 8.50 FOR SHIPPING = $202 TOTAL EVEN IF YOU ARE A CLUB LEXUS MEMBER.

USED TO BE $185 WITH SHIPPING BUT AFTER I COMPLAINT TO DARRELL ABOUT THE PRICE DIFFRENCE BETWEEN GEN 2/3 VS GEN 4 AND GEN 5 SHOWN ON THEIR WEBSITE, THEY CHANGED THEY GEN 4 AND GEN 5 PRICES TO HIGHER TO MATCH GEN 2/3 PRICE.

DO NOT BUY FROM SEWELL LEXUS!!!!

I have a 08 RX350 & just installed the 2010 Gen 5 update...........

No more "I AGREE SCREEN" !!!!!!!

Best update yet. Finally, just a caution note on start up & goes to the map display on it's own.

If you buy it from Sewell Lexus you can get it for $175 with the Club Lexus discount.

Prowler97, can you confirm if the 'I agree' screen is gone on the Gen 4 10.1 update on your RX400h? Can you enter destinations while moving, or is that still locked out?

Thanks.

Is this update strictly a map update or does it upgrade the Nav system itself?

Curious because of the horrible Blue Tooth implementation on my '05 RX. Wife's ES is in the shop and her loaner is a new ES w/the Nav system - much updated, better graphics and a MUCH better BT implementation.

Thanks.

You still can't manualy type in destinations on the move, but Gen 5 NAV has voice command for that.

SledDriver, the latest price as of yesterday from Sewell's website shows $199 discounted to $197 for the 2010 update with only just a $2 discount for CL members plus $7.50 for s/h. Previously if I recall Sewell was giving out 10% discount with the special promo code. Now the promo code is no longer valid and must create a new account with Sewell to receive this 1% discount. Please advise how you arrived at $175.

Just to give all of you an update since I just called Sewell to find out why the previous $175 price on the 2010 map update was not showing up. Darrel said that $175 is no longer valid and the new price with the CL discount is $196.42, just $2.60 off the retail price of $199. The discount for CL member on this update disc is only a "whopping" 1.5% plus $8 for shipping so it's not even worth the time to register with Sewell to buy this product.

The Gen 4, 2010 nav updated still have the "I agree" screen. You can NOT (correction) do the overide.

My goodness.

Please understand for products and accessories we offer online are not necessarily based on percentage discount off but more of what the product is and what we're attempting to achieve. For the latest 2010 Navigation DVD, while we don't match prices to the umpteen dealerships out their we do however attempt to offer the best service with allowing for the return of your old DVD for a credit. While some of you won't qualify for the rebate, our attempt at offering the best service is with the rebate.

With all this being said, the Navigation DVD remains to be a map. Similar to years ago, very few of us regular updated the good ole Rand McNalley road map or even the Mapsco. The navigation DVD's are released annually and you are not required to purchase the update for your navigation to function properly.

Are you 100% sure of that? Everything I've read says that any new Navi DVD since v 4.2 eliminates the ability to do the override. I've got an '06 RX400h, same as you. The new 10.1 disc still allows the override??? Please confirm! My wife will be THRILLED!!

To put this issue to bed, prowler97 confirmed that the override in fact is GONE. He misspoke earlier when he said what I quoted above.

Now... wonder if we can make a hybrid DVD with 4.2 stuff and 10.1 menus... I will be working on this once I get a 10.1 disc!

CORRECTION from above. The override function is gone. You cannot access the "secret" menu from the volume screen.

So where did they move it to? The secret menu must be able to access from the Nav screen for the other functions.

Good luck - nobody in the world that I've seen has been able to get into a newer Lexus navi service menu. Not since 2007.
