Default Anyone experiences this?

I just bought the 2009 Pebble Beach Edition late Jan. So far I really enjoyed it until last night. I walked to the car from work and turned on the AC and radio at the same time. I was busy backing up and then realized that radio wasn't on. I checked the radio and it was on but no sound. Turned off and turned back on but still no sound. Pressed the AUDIO button on the NAV and it said AUDIO IS OFF. When I pressed any button there on the NAV, I heard the sound on for a split second and then nothing after that.

Parked the car, turned off the engine and then back on, still had the same problem. Bluetooth connected fine but I can not use the button on the steering wheel. I can on call from the NAV screen and it worked fine. I can talk and hear fine. I had to hang up using the NAV screen option because the hang uip button on the steering wheel didn't work.

Went home and came back to the car a couple of hours later and still no luck. Went back in to schedule an appointment with the dealer to bring the car the next day.

In the morning, before I started the car, showed my wife that this audio system doesn't have sound and suddenly it works fine. Everything works like before. I don't know what's going on but rather to have it dies than like this since I don't know when it's going out again.

Any thought?

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the car and don't have any regret getting this at all, especially with some good discount.

Haven't had this problem but thanks for posting this. That way if it does happen to me I will know what to do, "show the wife whats wrong" then hope it works again too.
Kind if like taking a vehicle to the dealer for some problem & it works fine when u get there too.

I hate this kind of problem when it shows intermittently. We previously had the Toyota Sienna van and the power door didn't work once in a while. Brought it to the dealer and it worked. After our extended warranty was gone. It showed the same problem all over again. Asked the dealer and it wanted like $1600 to replace the ECU and motor! I had to close the door all the way, unplugged the battery for about 5-10 minutes and then everything worked perfectly for another few months. The car is my wife's but I'm driving for the first few months to break it in. Now she doesn't want it anymore. I am planning to get the Audi Q5. Gotta do some convincing now

I had a similar problem on my 07. The head unit for the stereo would intermittently just completely lock up and nothing on it would work. Then it would start working again. It did this a couple of times then stopped working all together. Lexus replaced the whole head unit. They had to send ours back to Japan to get the CDs out.
The new head unit has never had a problem.

Thats hilarious! No one suggested it just might be cheaper for Lexus to buy you new CDs here, rather than ship the entire unit to Japan and then ship your CDs back?

Just had it again today. Took the whole gang out for a little road trip about 1 and 1/2 hours away. On the way home, it did the same thing. I started to drive directly to the dealership and we were almost there, it is ok again. I think when it is too hot and I turn on the AC, the whole thing gets started. I happened twice when the car was too hot inside. Try to get that in the summer time and show the dealer on the spot (I won't turn off the engine when I get there

this has happened 2 times with my 09 rx. I took it to the dealer and I was told there was a possible short in the wires. They gave me a loaner car and I came back the next day. The dealer said that they replaced a wire and that it worked fine. 10 minutes after leaving the dealer... NO RADIO... but it hasn't happened since so I'm going to try not to think about it.
