Default Steering wheel audio track controls messed up

I posted a message here listing some electrical gremlins Ive seen. And yesterday I found a new one.

Our RX is my wifes car, so I drive it infrequently, and she wouldn't notice any of this, much less if the car was on fire, so I dont know how long this has been going on.

I was driving to work yesterday and I was listening to an mp3 cd. I hit the button on the steering wheel to change to the next track ( ^ ), and it went to beginning of the track I was listening to. I tried it again, and again it went to the beginning of that track, and then the PREVIOUS track. I tried the back button, and it made the volume decrease by one!!!! The volume buttons worked, but the track buttons were messed up.

I tried it again a minute later, and all was fine. I was hoping it was an isolated incident, but it did it again on my way home from work.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Its not a bootleg cd. Its a cd which contains a mix of mp3s files on it from my personal, legal collection. And in any case, the system is designed to play burned cds with mp3 files on them, as stated in the manual.

Anyway I dont see why a burned cd would cause the buttons on the steering wheel to act up. The controls on the face of the stereo worked fine while all this was going on.
