What to do? I have a 2004 Rx330, only 187K miles, in excellent condition, except for the cracking dashboard. When we received the notices about replacing the dashboard, I was having to take care of my mom that had been diagnosed with vascular dementia & Alzheimer’s. My husband threw away the notices thinking they were solicitations, so I never saw them. I love my car and have had no problems with it at all.
They refused to help me when I called and explained the situation. So, have any of you had this problem and missed the window for them to replace it? If so, what did you do?
I don't have a cracked dash pad, But I installed a http://covercraft.com dash pad. Quite a few different choices. I've used them on other vehicls, Mustang's/Camaro's, ect. I find the oem dash pad is really crudy/shotty for a Lexus....

I have a 2005 RX330, also in great shape. All maintenance has been done by the dealer. My dash only had a small crack which I was ok with, as it wasn’t in a prominent spot. Unfortunately, after the extended warranty expired, the dash continued to crack until it ran from side to side. Bought the new dash pad when Lexus was having a parts sale and had it installed by my dealer. It looks fantastic. It’s like the vehicle is new again.
How do you know when they’re having a parts sale? Was it the entire dashboard cover?
I just happened to be on the forums over the 4th of July weekend two years ago, and someone was talking about it and included a link. I got the replacement dash pad @ 20% off. My dealer took 10% off the labor as a military discount. All in all, it saved me a few hundred dollars. It was worth every penny to me.

So you replaced the whole dashpad with factory? How much was the part (not install)?
BTW, Toyota is having a 25% off parts/acc sale r/n with free shipping over $75. Lexus may be doing the same (or it is the same).
Here is where I saw it; if there is Toyota parts overlap (obviously not this part), you can order it via any Toyota dealer and disc. Will automatically apply.

The install was $1040.29 after my 10% military discount.
It is a labor intensive job, 6 hours worth. They remove a lot of parts from the old and put on the new, such as ac vents, clips and numerous other things. They did a fantastic job. You would never even know it wasn’t the original if you hadn’t witnessed the cracks themselves. No rattles at all.
I’m willing to bet it could be ordered through Toyota. I would certainly give it a try.
