To clarify, you are asking about the factory tint and not the add on film.
My impression is the factory one is permanent. You have to switch to after-market glass (not sure if that comes non tinted)

You can verify by looking up part numbers from an internet Lexus part dealers like Lexus of Atlanta. Shooting from the hip, the glaring difference in the first gen and second gen is the angle of the tail and thus the conclusion that they glass is not interchangeable.
