Default stumbling, running rough

My '02 RX is missing when driving, running rough, even occasionally stalling. Starts right back up though. Warm or cold. At cruising speed, it'll be ok for the better part of a minute, miss once, then be ok for another time. Problem started all of a sudden. 113K miles. Plugs replaced recently. Odd thing is that the CEL has not come on.

What make/brand of plugs did you use?

I agree with Salim it would be helpful to know which brand plugs were installed. Bosch plugs have caused problems for others in the past.

Our 99 FWD had 127k when we got it, at present 132k. Unsure if previous owner replaced plugs. What brand and type of plugs u'all recommend installing? Aftermarket or OEM?

I would recommend installing NGK Iridiums.

Default reply: thanks for the interest...

plugs were dealer installed, no idea what kind. Didn't want to muddy the water, but my engine got the dreaded oil sludge. Oil consumption went way, way up. Through the magic of the internet, I discovered that there was a class action lawsuit and settlement wherein Toyota (Lexus) agreed to fix the problem. So the dealer cleaned out the engine, sent at least one of the heads out, and put it back together. Asked me if I wanted to replace the plugs, which said ok to ($20 per plug). Ran flawlessly for 1,000 miles, then all of a sudden, blech.

If they were dealer installed then they are most likely OEM and I think some dealers did install NGK's. You mentioned in the first post that there are no CEL's but have you checked for pending codes; it may be possible that one of your coils just died. Have you replaced any coils previously?

No brainer here.---Go back to the Dealer and let them figure the problem out.

There are a lot of possibilities that can cause your issues in which it's hard to diagose since it just had major engine repair done to it.

Don't understand though why only 1 head was sent out to be cleaned.

Thanks. I'll try to get somewhere to read the codes. Right now I'm in the Outer Banks, NC. On an island. The best recommended mechanic is completely booked. The nearest Auto Zone kind of free code reader is way far. I never knew there was such a thing as pending codes.

Well, another factor is that I'm on vacation, 650 miles from home.

Call the nearest Lexus dealership and let them check it out for you.

Try to get back home and take it to the dealership that did the work. It almost certainly likely to be related to the recent repairs.
