Default Lugnuts?

Hi all. I'm switcing to a new wheels, do I have to replace the OE lugnuts with new ones? What kind? Tappered or something else?

Good question! After a little investigation, here's what I found: it depends on your wheels. Most cars use a tapered "cone seat" lug nut, however Honda (and maybe a few others) use a spherical or "ball seat" nut. Check with the mfr of your wheels. While both types are standardized with the same taper/radius, installing a wheel with the wrong type nuts could lead to serious problems.
