Default 10mm spacer enough?

Hi all. Just got my wheels, it's 18x8 et 38 with 255-55-18 tires. Is 10 mm hubcentric spacer enough to clear the rear strut housing or shall I put 15mm?
i'm worried that 15mm might bring the wheel/tires out too much. I'm trying to avoid it from stick out.

HELP PLS...

Thanks,
Robert

For safety reason, you need to use longer wheel studs to make sure rims won't come off.

That's true. Tuned, you have the H&R Spacers I think, do they come with extended studs?

Yes I have H&R wheel adapters, they bolt on to stock studs on one side and have build in studs on the other side. I think 10mm still is OK as long as you can get a good 3-4 complete turns to fasten lug nuts securely. One need to explore whether stock studs can accommodate bigger spacers safely.

THANKS ALL... so 10mm is good enough to clear the strut and as long as they have longer studs.

Thanks you very much...

What thickness do you have? Is it 10mm also?

Wheel adapters usually have minimum thickness of 20-25mm to house lug nuts. I have 25mm with +42 offset rims, outside of wheels is flush with the body instead of recessed.

So that come out to 17 offset? If the wheel ifs flush with the body, then I might go with 15 mm spacer with 38wheel offset = to 23 offset.
Do you have a photo?

Thanks again

Yes +17, don't forget tire and rim width are also important to get the flush effect. my rim is 18x7, tire 235/60/18. Here is the best picture I have (sorry no picture showing the flush look)
