Default Lugnut Question

Hey CL,

just installed a set of Project Mu Lug nuts on my car but noticed after taking off the old lug nuts and replacing them that the cone part of the lug nut seems shorter on the project mu versus the original lug nuts I had on my wheels. They both seem like the acorn seat style so I'm wondering if there would be any repercussion of using the new set over the old set.

Lugs matter more for wheels than studs. I would try putting them on hand tight and see if they seat. If they do, then torque them down.

Take the wheel of and have a close look at the Mu nuts to see how much of a non-fitment it is. If they banks fits perfectly then all that means is you might have lost a couple of turns on the thread..

As long as the wheels you have accept acorn or tuner style lug nuts, you'll be fine. If you using stock wheels, BOTH of those lug nuts are WRONG.
