I received mine a day or so ago. Some slight shipping damage and it's being taken care of so I will wait until that gets sorted out before installing anything. I did go with the burnt Ti tips. At first I didn't think I would like it and it would be rice looking. But in person I actually REALLY like the burnt tips. It adds some nice color to the back end of the car. I'll snap some pictures when I get home. I will put cardboard/bubble wrap under the exhaust and have it sit underneath the stock.

I took these pics for Nigel to show him the blacked out look on Invidia. If you are not a bling fan, you may want to paint the back end of your Invidia exhaust.

You can't really see anything other than the back, but I would probably paint the entire can so it looked better on a lift.

The entire can is painted black as well. May be the lighting but the entire back section of the exhaust is flat black except for the tips.

Yes, I saw that and it looks great! i wish I did that to mine before I installed. I was just saying I probably would have just painted the cans and not gone as far as you did toward the front of the car. Not because I don't like the way it looks, just because it would be less work. I may have to pull mine off and paint them. I'm assuming that you sanded the cans before painting?

Love it! I'm 100% painting mine black. At least the rear most part that you see when standing behind the car. The only thing that might stop me from painting the entire muffler is the underside will probably get chipped up from road debris, so it might be a combination of black/shiny stainless steel as time goes on... nothing a quick spray touch up can't fix but who knows...lol.

Sample pics of it under the stock exhaust. I like the little bit of color.

I sanded cans and pipe and then wiped with alcohol. I was not too concerned with 100% sanding. I used automotive paint good to 2000 degrees purchased from Home Depot. Did 2 coats which was around 1.5 cans of paint. Took about 4 to 5 hours including dry time between coats.

It’s an exhaust leak. When i had my invidia exhaust installed i got the same error. Notes from the shop “-Car Dropped Off For P0420 Code, Exhaust Leak Found Before Bank 1 Sensor 2 O2 Sensor.” For a temp fix they used high temp silicone. Has not thrown the error since then (May 11th). When I got my headers installed in December I had them install 3 inch gaskets that another member suggested from amazon (link below). They look exactly like the invidia gaskets and I haven’t had any problems with these new gaskets. Hopefully this answers any future invidia questions

However in my searching I see Grimmspeed also makes a 3" gasket AND it's twice as thick. This might be a really good option as well.

I haven't installed anything yet, nor will I for a few months but I've never had issues normally with using supplied hardware with exhausts. It's just so crazy to me why so many people have issues here when it should be rather straight forward... But I've also never had issues using grimmspeed stuff on my subie.. they make awesome products that just work. The above gaskets might help those that are always having issues with leaks...?

Nigel, any update? I just ordered an Invidia and am curious to see what you have to say about the install and finished product.
