RCF Smart Key Card
I guess I blew it and out $200+ dollars. Fun times.
Not sure but it's a super easy process. What version of techstream are you running? What is the firmware on your OBD2 cable? What is the exact error message you are getting? What year is your car...etc. Help us by giving information.
I've done 9 credit card keys for various people around me for free and all have gone exactly as described in the process above. I've done my wife's NX, my CT, a fellow member here that has an RX. And then just people asking for help on FB that have been local. Two RCFs (a 2020 like mine, and a 2019). Zero issues.
Is the battery in your credit card key good?
Did you verify 100% that the credit card key is compatible with the FCC ID on your current fob? If I am not mistaken when I went to look at credit card keys there were two that showed up for my 2020. One was $200+ and the other was oddly enough $170 or so. I ended up going with the more expensive one but I believe I verified with Joe at Bell Lexus when I gave him my VIN and he did say that the credit card key was 100% compatible with my 2020. Zero issues with the credit card key other than me having to change the battery because I accidently left it in the cupholder for a couple days..lol

Replace the battery in the card key and then try again. When I got mine new, the "low battery" warning popped up after only about a month. If that part has been sitting in stock for a while, it's possible the battery is drained. Since the card key has no buttons, there's no way to turn it off like you can with the fobs to prolong battery life.
