Default Smart Access Card and Card Key

So I was wondering if the Smart Access Card and Card Key was worth getting? Also, can anyone confirm if part #'s 8990453510 (Card) and 6951530350 (Key) will work on an F-Sport model?

I have smart access card key and I really like it since I don't have to carry the other key fob. I just put the smart access card key in my wallet and carry that along with my phone. Once RES+ comes out I intend to get that so I can do remote start and also unlock and lock doors from a distance.

If you are talking about the mechanical key that fits inside the smart card key than yes, I think you should get that also. It'll come in handy if your battery in the smart card key dies and you need to get in the car. My sales rep stated even with dead battery once you get in the car if you put the smart car key right up to the start button it will start the car.

Do you HAVE to have the key part of the access card for any reason? I understand why it's smart to have it. But just wandering if there's a transponder or anything in the key.
