Default Remote Starter for RCF

Does lexus have a remote starter that is compatible with the RCF. I currently have one on my F150 but will be trading in and would like to have the remote starter feature. I prefer not to go aftermarket brands.

Probably better to sign up for Lexus enform, it’s a service you can pay monthly or yearly for and gives you access to remote start, among a few other things. I have it and really like it. I can start my car, lock and unlock my car from my wrist.

From your fob no, not without an annual subscription, most manufacturers have gone this route since 2015.

You get the enform app free for a period of time after purchase (new). Not sure what the current promo time is. Once activated the app or the fob will remote start the car. Once it expires both are disabled.

If if you opt to continue it for $160 a year then both will continue to work.

i looked into it more and it turns out the Lexus enform is only on 2018 and up models in Canada, which makes no sense as Canada has terrible winters

I hate that some manufacturers are turning remote starting into an ongoing revenue stream. This should be on the key fob and it should be no cost on a car of this caliber. My 2017 Honda Ridgeline - remote start is free; 2018 Acura RLX - remote start is free; 2019 Corvette - remote start is free.

Just venting.

Bringing up old thread, but while doing some searching for my Audi on remote start I stumbled across this, in theory should work for the RCF...

Interesting info there^^^^^^

I’m like everyone else. Remote start should not be a revenue stream with a paid subscription. It should be a function on the fob!

Older thread but I used this same company for both my Wife's 18' NX and her friends NX. Install took about 40 minutes the first time then 25 minutes the second time. Everything was completely plug and play and enables you to remote start the car via the fob. After my wife's enform subscription ended I wasn't about to pay a yearly fee just for her to remote start the car.

I caught a sale from 12volt solutions around this time or Christmas about two years ago when I bought everything and saved something like 15-20% off, so it dropped the remote start down to a pretty reasonable price.

Been two years on my wife's NX and still functions as it should.

That’s great news news to know this! I posted about this a while ago and how Lexus is cancelling the Enform function in the next two years and it’s nice to know there is a solution!
