Arrow Im thinking about get a remote starter? what do you think

im deciding on getting a real quality one and was wondering which kind of remote starter do you suggest me to get or will it ruin my car starter as well as other mechanical features on my car..

i was looking at this >>> Avital 4103 remote starter for my ( 2000 LEXUS RX300 ) but if you have any knowledge what so ever on these remote starters please let me know.... also is it possible to get just the remote starter and not the lock and and etc on the remote starter key since our RX300 already comes FACTORY WITH THE LOCK & UNLOCK STANDARD ON THE KEY

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH

Delay is about 5-8 seconds. I think I got it for 350-400. You will have to go to like a audio shop which sells starters not from a dealer.

You have to be patient.

Just a question .. is the imobilizer disabled (or always enabled) when you have remote starter?

Take a look at Luxlink... I am pretty sure they sell a remote starter for our cars that allow you to use the factory key fob.

thank you and exactly how reliable is this luxlink because i never heard of them before and do remote starters drain your battery faster and does remote starter every mechanically hurt your car later on down the line.

Separate remote, don't think there's a way to use the stock fob if I could I don't think it will work far.

You talking about the cars battery? If so I don't think it will drain it. I've had a starter in all my cars and have had no problems.

I just put the Viper 5501 in my RX450h. I also put in the Smart Start module so I can use my smartphone to start it anywhere via cell service. You can still use your factory keyfob but will need a separate one or a smartphone to start the vehicle.

I can open tailgate, unlock and lock doors, start and stop the car.

A starter does not add any drain to the electrical system at all. They work by fooling the car into thinking you are pushing one of the buttons on the keyfob or starting the car. It is no different than sitting in the car and turning the key. They also have built in features that will start if temp gets too low, wont start if battery is too low and others that can be set.

I have not owned a car without a remote starter for the last 20 years. They are a must for me.
