So it looks like there's were a few things that were changed that went under the radar in the year to year changes of the RC. This information comes directly out of the Toyota Information System so while accurate, it specifically applies to changes to the TIS system and documentation. Also, keep in mind that some features while technically available on these cars were never introduced in the United States. With that said, a lot of information can be gleamed from these documents.

2016 Model Year Changes

• ENGINE: An 8AR-FTS engine models has been added. [2.0L Turbo as the 200T]
• DIFFERENTIAL SYSTEM: A Limited Slip Differential (LSD) has been provided. [Optional Equipment]
• INTUITIVE PARKING ASSIST SYSTEM: The indicator light location has been changed on combination meter.
• METER/GAUGE/DISPLAY A coordinated display function has been added to the multi display.

2017 Model Year Changes

• ENGINE MECHANICAL: Corresponding the emission regulation has been changed.
• CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM: Cancellation conditions of cruise control function has been changed.
• AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM: The radio receiver assembly has been changed. [No apparent physical changes can be seen]
• INTUITIVE PARKING ASSIST SYSTEM:The ultra sonic sensor has been changed.
• AIRBAG SYSTEM: The roll over judgment function has been added.
• METER/GAUGE/DISPLAY: The switch operation guide on multi-information display has been discontinued.
• WIPER / WASHER: The switch operation guide on multi-information display has been discontinued.
• LIGHTING (EXT): The switch operation guide on multi-information display has been discontinued.

2018 Model Year Changes

• ENGINE MECHANICAL: The 2GR-FKS engine has been adopted. [New 3.5L engine for the 350 that can run in both Otto and Atkinson cycles. ]
• DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM: The cruise control main switch has been changed & Tap down and Tap up function has changed
• LANE DEPARTURE ALERT SYSTEM (w/ Steering Control): A lane departure alert system with steering control system has been adopted.
• AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE(A760H): A CUSTOM mode has been added to drive mode select function.
• AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE(AA81E): A CUSTOM mode has been added to drive mode select function.
• SUSPENSION CONTROL: A CUSTOM mode has been added to drive mode select function.
• POWER STEERING SYSTEM: The drive mode select (combination switch) has been changed.
• AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM: The 10.3-inch multi-display has been adopted to models with navigation system.
• ASC SYSTEM: A CUSTOM mode has been added to drive mode select function. [ F-SPORT ONLY]
• NETWORKING: A Lexus Safety System + has been provided on all models
• LIGHTING (INT): The illuminated entry system has been changed.
• AIRBAG SYSTEM: The AIRBAG OFF/ON indicator light has been changed to models for Canada.
• POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM: The automatic away function and automatic return function have been added. [Oh my gosh can we get this on the older models?!]
• LIGHTING (EXT): The automatic high beam system has been changed.

-RC200t now becomes the RC300 RWD

• The RC 200t F SPORT and 350 RWD F SPORT now offer optional orange brake calipers

• Performance dampers are standard for RC 200t and available for RC 350 RWD F SPORT
• Eminent White Pearl exterior paint replaces Starfire Pearl

2017 changes

• Black finish on base grille
• Wheel finish on 18-inch and 19-inch wheels
• Exterior color: Caviar
• Available triple-beam LED headlamps
• RC 350 RWD receives performance dampers standard
• Scout GPS Link

2018 changes

• Larger navigation screen 10.3”
• Five horsepower increase (RC 300 AWD, RC 350 RWD, and RC 350 AWD)
• F SPORT Drive Mode Select with Sport S+ and new custom mode
• Lexus Safety System+ now standard
• Enform Safety Connect and Enform Service Connect now complimentary for first 10 years
• Lexus Enform Destination Assist complimentary for the first year of ownership
• Enform Wi-Fi up to 4GB for one year trial and connects up to five devices
• Enform App Suite 2.0 with NPR One and Wifi Sign Up Apps
• Dynamic Voice Recognition optional
• Exterior color: Flare Yellow (F SPORT only)
• Scout GPS Link – Display Audio only (three-year trial)

 

What about that G-Force monitoring...doesn't the 2016/2017 include that already or is it just going to be available on 2018?

 

From what I understand, G-Force monitoring continues to be only on the RC F.
