Official Lexus RC thread
Well, well, well, what do I spy? According to the VLN's website, a Lexus IS-C will be running in the upcoming Nurburgring race in SP8 CLASS. For those who don't know what that means, it's a class for vehicles with over 4,000cc of engine displacement! We all know the IS-C's largest engine is the 3.5 liter V6. So, either the entry list is a typo or imo, this may be a race mule for this car were talking about in this thread. Much like Lexus ran camo'd LFA's before release.

Just a couple of observations I spotted on the “Test Mules..”

(#682)

(#681 Left & #682 Right)

(#682 on Track)

(#681 on Street)

(#681 on Street)
Also, someone else already pointed out the bumper reflector differences.. One might be taped up...
Just my own opinions..

- 1) The HOOD Scoop or Vent looks legit.. You can see right through it in the first two photos..!!!
This is going to be one very special motor..

(Plate #682)
- 2) Also, there seems to be a difference on the Speed Activated trunk wings.. #682 seems to completely tuck away flush...
As seen on the first two photos below.. And 3rd photo shows where it goes seamlessly.
#681 seems to be showing us a different more aggressive wing that does not fully tuck away…
Could be testing Two different wings, or we are looking at wings for the two different motor options..
OR
I could be wrong all together and the WING is Not Fully Up or Down..

I am very excited to see what the Lexus designers and engineers are going to do with this new vehicle. As much as I want a GTR this new model might be a better alternative for daily driving.
The car you're looking at in the spy shots is the RC-F model. The RC will be the IS coupe and there should be a toned down non-F model (RC-250 and RC-350). Those will be revealed before the F-model.
I wonder if the RC F-sport will have an IS-style super aggressive front and how the F model will look in comparison? As it is, I can't imagine how an IS-F would look compared to the F-sport which already looks aggressive enough.
