IS200T Turbocharger rebuild and modify

I just received 3IS turbocharger today....lol ,Ready to modify hybrid type also custom tune.

Oh...No ....why plastic again?

The black one is turbo muffler(plastic)

What's the plan with the turbo muffler? delete? i wonder what it sounds like without. is that entire arm with the plastic there JUST for noise suppression? interesting to see the stock turbo guts!

BTW i wonder if a block off plate can be made to go in place of the plastic turbo muffler? of course depending on if it improves spool up or sounds better. IIRC, that black plastic is easily accessible under the hood. might make for a cool/fast/cheap mod. either way love seeing what you come up with. Guinea pig!!

From inlet and outlet has different diameter.

So more direct airflow, possibly better spool, and more turbo noise. Sounds fun!

I could see Lexus tuning out turbo whistle. The classical Lexus is a smooth, vault-like machine. (That changed with the introduction of 'F' variants.)

I can't wait to add more.
